Licensing and Education Requirements
In Kentucky, you are required by the State:
- to take 96 hours of a classroom training course
- be at least 18 years old
- have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- criminal background check
- have a sponsoring Broker
- pass the State real estate exam.

In Indiana, you are required by the State:
- to take 54 hours of a pre-license classroom training course
- be at least 18 years old
- felony free
- pass the State real estate exam
- you have one year to place your license with a Broker
